QA Automation Engineer
About this role
Accenture Federal Services seeks a QA Automation Engineer to design and maintain automated testing solutions for web and backend applications supporting federal government missions. This primarily remote role involves building scalable test frameworks, executing regression testing, and integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines while collaborating with developers and product teams in an Agile environment.
What you'll do
- Design and develop maintainable automated test scripts for web applications and APIs using tools like Playwright or Selenium
- Build and scale automation frameworks to increase code coverage and efficiency across deployment pipelines
- Analyze requirements and user stories to create comprehensive end-to-end test plans
- Execute regression, functional, and smoke tests before production releases
- Identify, document, and track software defects with reproduction steps and severity levels
- Troubleshoot test failures to distinguish between application bugs and test script instability
