About this role
Hadrian seeks a Construction Field Engineer to serve as the structural and civil subject matter expert on a brownfield manufacturing facility project in Cherokee, AL. You'll coordinate construction progress, manage RFIs and submittals, ensure quality compliance, and support the Superintendent in delivering advanced manufacturing infrastructure on schedule.
What you'll do
- Track construction schedule progress for structural, concrete, steel, utilities, and site work; validate contractor reports against actual installed quantities
- Review and coordinate RFIs and technical submittals including concrete mixes, steel shop drawings, foundation designs, and equipment vendor requirements
- Perform weekly field walks and participate in construction planning meetings to identify schedule constraints and develop recovery plans
- Coordinate equipment foundation completion dates with manufacturing equipment delivery and installation timelines
- Verify structural and civil work complies with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and manufacturer requirements
- Document inspections, testing results, and RFI resolutions; prepare redline sets for as-built conversion
