Data Operations Engineer II
About this role
AccuWeather seeks a Data Operations Engineer II to build and maintain critical data ingestion systems that power weather services globally. You'll manage Databricks pipelines, develop automation scripts, own incident response, and ensure 24/7 operational reliability across multi-platform data systems.
What you'll do
- Build, monitor, and maintain data ingestion pipelines across Databricks, Data Marketplace, and Ad Platform
- Develop and optimize Python, PowerShell, and Bash scripts for data collection, monitoring, and automation
- Own operational state of assigned pipelines including monitoring, incident response, and escalation procedures
- Administer SQL databases and manage data loading, deployment, and schema maintenance
- Build end-to-end monitoring systems and automated alerts; diagnose and resolve incidents independently
- Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps for reliable deployments
