About this role

ACT Power Services seeks a Solar Operations Engineer to serve as the technical liaison for their growing renewable energy portfolio. You'll monitor and optimize solar and storage facilities ranging from 500kW to 200+MW, providing performance analysis, client support, and operational recommendations through remote monitoring systems and on-site visits.

What you'll do

  • Conduct performance analysis of solar and storage projects using DAS and SCADA systems
  • Serve as primary technical contact for assigned facilities and lead client calls regarding performance and technical issues
  • Perform root cause analysis and provide system improvement recommendations for underperforming assets
  • Generate site performance reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop procedures and tools to optimize fleet operations and organizational efficiency
  • Support plant managers, field operators, and utilities with performance, control, and maintenance planning

  • Programming in Python, VBA, or equivalent languages
  • Electrical maintenance including PV, DC, and AC systems

  • Industrial facility operations experience
