About this role
ACT Power Services seeks a Solar Operations Engineer to serve as the technical liaison for their growing renewable energy portfolio. You'll monitor and optimize solar and storage facilities ranging from 500kW to 200+MW, providing performance analysis, client support, and operational recommendations through remote monitoring systems and on-site visits.
What you'll do
- Conduct performance analysis of solar and storage projects using DAS and SCADA systems
- Serve as primary technical contact for assigned facilities and lead client calls regarding performance and technical issues
- Perform root cause analysis and provide system improvement recommendations for underperforming assets
- Generate site performance reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Develop procedures and tools to optimize fleet operations and organizational efficiency
- Support plant managers, field operators, and utilities with performance, control, and maintenance planning
