About this role

Join Airbnb's Dev Tools team to build foundational infrastructure enabling engineers and AI agents to ship software faster and safer. You'll design distributed systems, Kubernetes platforms, and developer workflows at scale, directly impacting every engineer across the company.

What you'll do

  • Design and operate cloud development environments and execution platforms for engineers and AI agents
  • Scale Kubernetes-based worker pools, control planes, and APIs for parallel and asynchronous workloads
  • Enhance validation systems and developer workflows across build, test, and polyglot monorepo tooling
  • Strengthen source-control and code-review systems as PR volume and automation grow
  • Diagnose and resolve production issues in distributed systems, networking, and orchestration
  • Set technical direction and mentor team members on infrastructure and architectural decisions

What they're looking for

  • Kubernetes and container orchestration (Docker, EKS)
  • AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, EBS, VPCs, networking, load balancers)
  • Distributed systems design and debugging
  • Full-cycle development with strong operational experience
  • Platform architecture and system reliability engineering
  • Cost optimization and infrastructure efficiency
  • Cross-team communication and technical leadership
  • Experience with async or agent-based workloads (preferred)
