About this role

ACT Power Services seeks an entry-level SCADA Engineer to support control systems and substation automation for utility-scale solar projects across North America. You'll develop skills in SCADA design, PLC programming, protective relay configuration, and cybersecurity compliance while working remotely under senior mentorship.

What you'll do

  • Learn and support ACT's SCADA architecture for solar renewable energy projects across North America
  • Assist with design reviews, modifications, and troubleshooting of SCADA systems for solar PV assets
  • Program and test Schweitzer (SEL) protection relays and configure Siemens/Emerson PLCs with ladder logic
  • Support UI/UX development in Ignition and create Power-BI dashboards for performance monitoring
  • Ensure designs comply with NERC-CIP, UL, IEEE, and ISA standards; maintain project documentation
  • Participate in project commissioning checks and SCADA signal verification activities
