Software Engineer, Practice

About this role

Join Aiwyn as a senior software engineer to build the practice management platform that accounting firms rely on for tracking work, billing, and collections. You'll own critical systems handling project tracking, resource management, and financial accuracy while collaborating with domain experts to deliver category-defining software.

What you'll do

• Own backend services, infrastructure, and systems ensuring practice management scales without sacrificing accuracy
• Collaborate with accounting and firm operations experts to translate domain knowledge into robust systems
• Build and extend APIs for integrations with firm systems, data sources, and partner tools
• Take projects from specification through shipping and scaling, including full ownership across the stack
• Optimize iteration cycles and confidence metrics for the practice management platform
• Bridge engineering and non-engineering domains to ensure shared understanding with stakeholders

What they're looking for

• 5+ years professional software engineering experience with full project ownership
• Technical depth in systems where correctness and edge cases are critical
• Experience building billing, ledger, workflow, or RBAC systems
• Ability to communicate effectively across engineering and domain expert teams
• Full-stack capability (backend, frontend, infrastructure)
• AI-native tooling fluency and judgment on where AI adds value
• Fintech or project management software experience
• Experience with authentication, compliance, or comparable high-accuracy systems
