Security Engineer II

About this role

Akuna Capital seeks a Security Engineer II to protect systems and data at an options trading firm while addressing emerging AI-related security challenges. You'll conduct threat hunting, vulnerability assessments, and incident response while leveraging AI tools to strengthen the firm's security posture across traditional and AI-driven infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Analyze security incidents and threat actors using MITRE ATT&CK framework to improve detection
• Conduct proactive vulnerability assessments and threat hunting across systems
• Automate and orchestrate security workflows using AI and agentic tooling
• Lead incident response investigations and coordinate remediation efforts
• Secure internal AI applications and agentic workflows against emerging attack surfaces
• Develop and implement security controls to prevent, detect, and recover from cyber threats
