About this role

ALTEN Technology USA seeks a D&R Engineer to own the release and compliance backbone for next-generation automotive interior display and infotainment hardware. You'll manage BOMs, drive engineering changes, and translate consumer electronics requirements into automotive compliance standards throughout the product development lifecycle.

What you'll do

  • Release parts in FEDEBOM and WERS across the product lifecycle, maintaining master program BOM with key attribute data
  • Author and drive ECOs, ECRs, and change actions to closure, managing effectivity and prototype inventory disposition
  • Maintain BOM accuracy through prototype builds and post-production, including surrogate-to-real conversion and CAD alignment
  • Translate team and supplier requirements into Engineering Requirements and Specifications in FEDE, especially for display and infotainment
  • Identify and build validation, durability, and functional test requirements; maintain DVP through FEDE dashboard
  • Author Compliance Demonstration Plans and Reports, converting test results into accepted compliance evidence with full requirement traceability
