About this role

ALTEN Technology USA seeks a Design Quality Engineer to ensure Class-A automotive interior and exterior components meet visual quality, craftsmanship, and design standards throughout product development. The role involves evaluating molded, painted, and appearance-sensitive components, collaborating with design and manufacturing teams to resolve issues before production launch.

What you'll do

  • Validate Class-A components for visual quality, craftsmanship, and design intent alignment
  • Evaluate molded, painted, wrapped, chrome, and appearance-sensitive components against design and quality standards
  • Collaborate with Design, CMF, Mastering, Suppliers, and Manufacturing teams to identify and resolve craftsmanship and tooling issues
  • Support development and maintenance of craftsmanship expectations across vehicle programs
  • Assess dimensional stability and production readiness of vehicle and accessory components
  • Provide visual assessment expertise to balance design intent with manufacturing constraints
