About this role

ALTEN Technology USA seeks an Electrical Systems Diagnostics Engineer in Las Vegas to troubleshoot complex electrical failures on public vehicles, lead root cause analysis investigations, and bridge design engineering with fleet operations. You'll use advanced diagnostic tools like CAN analyzers, mentor technicians, and drive engineering improvements to enhance vehicle reliability.

What you'll do

  • Escalate and resolve complex electrical, electronic, and network issues on public vehicles using CAN tools and diagnostic equipment
  • Analyze vehicle log data and network traffic to isolate hardware/software faults and reconstruct failure events
  • Lead cross-functional root cause analysis investigations using formal methodologies and present findings to engineering teams
  • Develop standardized diagnostic procedures and troubleshooting guides for technician teams
  • Collaborate hands-on with service technicians on repairs, component replacements, and technical guidance
  • Train technicians on CAN tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and electrical safety protocols
