About this role

ALTEN Technology USA seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop chassis components including wheels, brakes, fuel systems, and exhaust systems. You'll use CAD expertise to create robust, manufacturable designs while collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers to meet performance and cost targets throughout the product lifecycle.

What you'll do

  • Design and develop chassis components using CATIA V6 and create 3D models with GD&T application
  • Analyze technical issues and interpret CAE results to support design decisions and modifications
  • Collaborate with design, test, manufacturing, and quality teams to validate performance and ensure compliance
  • Work with suppliers to define technical requirements, evaluate proposals, and resolve quality/fitment issues
  • Manage multiple design projects, support program milestones, and provide progress updates
  • Support design reviews and continuous product improvement initiatives
