About this role

ALTEN Technology USA seeks a PLC Automation Engineer to develop IoT and digital manufacturing solutions for automotive clients. You'll design vision inspection systems, analyze machine data with machine learning, and translate manufacturing challenges into scalable technology strategies that improve production efficiency and quality.

What you'll do

  • Develop IoT solutions including vision inspection systems and machine learning analysis of sensor/equipment data
  • Engage with plant floor customers to identify technology opportunities and validate proof-of-concept implementations
  • Analyze manufacturing problems and customer needs to align them with IoT and digital technology opportunities
  • Contribute to IoT strategy and roadmap execution for selected manufacturing areas
  • Monitor emerging digital technologies for potential IoT applications in future projects
  • Support machine learning and analytical processes from proof-of-concept through deployed projects
