About this role

ALTEN Technology USA seeks an R&D Mechanical Engineer to design and develop mechanical components and systems through the full product development lifecycle. You'll create CAD models, conduct testing and failure analysis, and collaborate across engineering disciplines in a fast-paced innovation environment.

What you'll do

  • Design mechanical components, assemblies, and systems meeting performance, reliability, cost, and manufacturability requirements
  • Create 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation
  • Lead product development from concept through prototype testing and launch
  • Develop and execute engineering test plans, analyze results, and recommend improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on design reviews and engineering changes
  • Maintain project schedules and communicate status to stakeholders
