About this role

Altis is seeking a full-stack AI engineer to build production-grade intelligence platforms that combine expert analysis with frontier AI for venture capital diligence. You'll own end-to-end features across frontend, backend, and data systems, shipping AI-native experiences at exceptional velocity while working in a small, high-ownership team in NYC.

What you'll do

  • Develop full-stack features across React/Next.js/TypeScript frontends, APIs, backend services, and data pipelines
  • Build scalable UI component libraries and design systems for researchers and VC customers
  • Create AI-native diligence experiences including natural-language interfaces, RAG-powered tools, and intelligent synthesis
  • Leverage frontier AI models daily for rapid prototyping, code review, testing, and iteration
  • Collaborate with analysts, sector directors, and customers to translate complex analysis into clear experiences
  • Define architecture standards to ensure platform reliability for high-stakes decision-making
