Android Engineer
About this role
Anduril is hiring Android Engineers to develop real-time, map-based user interfaces for controlling unmanned aircraft systems like Fury and Barracuda. You'll architect full-stack solutions from backend to frontend, integrating with the Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK) and working across diverse technologies to deliver critical military command and control capabilities.
What you'll do
- Design and deploy real-time map-based UIs for sensor data visualization and aircraft control via ATAK plugins
- Define and implement APIs for network communications, telemetry, vehicle configuration, and autonomous tasking
- Establish foundational software architectures and UX workflows in collaboration with engineers, designers, and end-user customers
- Develop frontend solutions using Jetpack Compose and backend services in Java, Kotlin, C++, Rust, or Golang
- Integrate with Android Tactical Assault Kit SDK and TAK Product Centers' developer ecosystem
- Test software across simulations, benchtop hardware, and live flight assets at multiple rigor levels
