You'll lead full-cycle PCB design from requirements through flight test, collaborating across hardware, software, and test teams in a fast-paced defense technology environment.
What you'll do
- Execute complete PCB design cycle including schematic, component selection, layout supervision, bring-up, testing, and system integration
- Design and integrate power management systems, conducting power analysis and thermal/EMI evaluation
- Troubleshoot hardware-software integration issues using lab equipment and debugging tools
- Develop payload subsystems including sensors, interfaces, networking, and power distribution
- Create system interconnect diagrams and wire harness specifications for electronic subsystems
- Conduct peer and cross-discipline design reviews with electrical, mechanical, software, and test teams
What they're looking for
- PCB design and layout (multi-layer mixed-signal boards, impedance matching, grounding)
- Power system design and analysis
- Microcontroller bring-up and embedded systems
- Lab test equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, logic analyzers, DMM)
- Electrical bus interfaces (CAN, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, RS232/422/485, USB)
- Analog and digital circuit design
- Basic firmware debugging and hardware-software troubleshooting
- Technical communication and design documentation
