About this role
Anduril is seeking a Firmware Engineer for their Connected Warfare team to develop embedded software for advanced autonomous military systems. You'll own end-to-end firmware development from board bring-up through field deployment, serving as the critical link between electrical engineering and higher-level software stacks.
What you'll do
- Develop low-level firmware for microcontrollers and real-time systems
- Create and maintain reusable device drivers for sensors and peripherals
- Debug cross-disciplinary hardware-software integration issues
- Conduct board bring-up and system-level integration testing
- Review schematics and collaborate with electrical engineering teams
- Architect firmware changes to support growing codebase complexity

- C programming for embedded systems
- Microcontroller architecture (ARM, AVR, MSP430, PIC)
- Bare-metal and RTOS firmware development
- Bus protocols (Ethernet, USB, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS232, RS485)
- Sensor and peripheral integration
- JTAG, SWD, oscilloscope, and logic analyzer debugging
- Board bring-up and hardware troubleshooting
- Software coding best practices and design patterns
