About this role

Anduril Industries seeks a Senior Flight Software Engineer to develop embedded flight control software for small unmanned aircraft (Group 1–3 drones). You'll own sections of the flight stack end-to-end, from device drivers to control law implementation and flight validation, while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating across GNC, hardware, and operations teams.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement vehicle control systems and embedded software for Linux/RTOS platforms
  • Develop device drivers, protocols, and APIs for aircraft sensors and communications buses
  • Integrate guidance and control algorithms into the flight software stack
  • Create and maintain SITL and HITL test fixtures and test automation frameworks
  • Analyze flight test results, troubleshoot production issues, and iterate on fixes
  • Mentor junior engineers and improve team engineering practices and test infrastructure
