About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Laser Test Engineer to oversee production testing of advanced infrared and optical systems, ensuring quality standards through hands-on troubleshooting, test automation development, and cross-functional collaboration. You'll own the complete test lifecycle—from component validation to system acceptance—while driving continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
What you'll do
- Own production test flow and troubleshoot complex infrared system issues during testing
- Develop and maintain test automation software, data analytics tools, and automated report generation
- Create test work instructions and train technicians on equipment operation via MES
- Perform root cause analysis on product failures and recommend corrective actions
- Collaborate with Design, Quality, and Manufacturing teams on customer returns and failure analysis
- Optimize test strategies to reduce time while maintaining quality; calibrate and maintain test equipment
