About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to oversee maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) of turbine engines for defense systems. You'll manage engine failures, conduct root cause analysis, direct rework operations, and ensure configuration traceability across the product lifecycle.
What you'll do
- Manage disposition and rework of engines failing acceptance tests or returned by customers, handling both hardware failures and configuration upgrades
- Diagnose engine-level issues through test data analysis, hardware inspection, and root cause investigation
- Author rework instructions and coordinate closely with production teams on task execution and priorities
- Lead teardown and inspection of returned engines to determine component serviceability, repairability, or scrap status
- Define upgrade paths for legacy-configuration engines to current standards and track configuration across EBOM/MBOM
- Provide failure insights to design and quality teams, estimate rework scope and costs, and verify reworked engines meet requirements
