About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to lead the production scaling of advanced electromechanical defense systems from prototype to high-volume manufacturing. You'll own the complete manufacturing value chain—from design for manufacturability through process optimization, supplier management, and quality assurance—while working in a fast-paced environment delivering cutting-edge hardware.
What you'll do
- Lead transition of electromechanical products from NPI to high-volume production, ensuring optimal DFM/DFA and scalable supply chain processes
- Drive continuous improvement on production lines, resolve manufacturing issues, and reduce costs while elevating product quality
- Design and optimize manufacturing processes, managing automation solutions and integrated workflows to maximize throughput and consistency
- Lead installation, commissioning, and validation of new manufacturing systems, communicating impact to stakeholders
- Develop detailed manufacturing documentation including work instructions, SOPs, quality control plans, and inspection requirements
- Partner with and manage contract manufacturers across PCBA, metallic, and assembly disciplines; travel to suppliers for issue resolution and audits
