About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to support composite parts and assemblies development for defense platforms including UAVs. You'll collaborate with design and production teams to optimize manufacturability, create technical documentation, and solve manufacturing challenges in a fast-paced defense environment.
What you'll do
- Partner with technicians and engineers to design and build composite components for UAV platforms while optimizing manufacturing methods
- Collaborate with design teams during development phases to improve manufacturability before design release
- Create and execute manufacturing documentation including work instructions, MBOMs, quality plans, and inspection procedures
- Serve as liaison between engineering technical data and production technicians to ensure specifications are met
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for scaling from prototype/LRIP to full-rate production
- Lead root cause corrective action analysis with quality teams to eliminate production issues and blockers

- Composite manufacturing methods (filament winding, autoclave, VARTM, prepreg, hydraulic press)
- CAD/CAM software proficiency, preferably NX
- Engineering drawing interpretation and GD&T knowledge
- CNC machining operations and multi-axis equipment
- Design for manufacturability (DFM) analysis
- AS9100/NADCAP manufacturing standards
- Project management and MS Office tools
- TeamCenter or digital manufacturing software (preferred)
