About this role

Anduril Industries seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to own and optimize high vacuum and cryogenic processing lines for Integrated Dewar Cooler Assembly production at its Hudson, NH facility. You'll bridge design and manufacturing, driving process improvements, equipment integration, and quality in ultra-high vacuum environments while supporting growth of the merchant supplier business.

What you'll do

  • Design, characterize, and optimize vacuum bakeout, pinch-off, and cryogenic processing procedures to reduce cycle times and maximize yield
  • Serve as subject matter expert for Residual Gas Analyzer (RGA) instrumentation, analyzing mass spectra and monitoring outgassing
  • Specify, source, and integrate advanced high-vacuum equipment (turbomolecular pumps, cryopumps, ion pumps) and design custom tooling using CAD
  • Lead root-cause analysis and corrective action for vacuum degradation, thermal performance issues, and system-level failures
  • Author and standardize Standard Operating Procedures, process routers, and implement Statistical Process Control monitoring
  • Collaborate with Design, Quality, and Facilities teams on cleanroom process design and equipment qualification

What they're looking for

  • Ultra-high vacuum (UHV) systems and vacuum physics
  • Residual Gas Analyzer (RGA) interpretation and diagnostics
  • Helium leak detection methodology (inside-out, outside-in, sniffing)
  • SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD design
  • Cryogenic systems and liquid nitrogen handling
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis
  • Root-cause corrective action (RCCA) and troubleshooting
