About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Manufacturing Tooling Engineer to design and develop assembly fixtures, jigs, and handling equipment for aircraft sub-assembly production at their Ashville, Ohio facility. This role bridges design engineering and production execution, ensuring tooling enables safe, accurate, and repeatable manufacturing of flight-critical hardware at scale.
What you'll do
- Design assembly tooling, fixtures, jigs, and handling equipment using NX 3D CAD for aircraft sub-assembly operations
- Perform tolerance analysis and GD&T stack-ups to ensure positional accuracy and interchangeability of airframe structures
- Support first article tooling prove-out on production floor and iterate designs based on technician feedback
- Develop and maintain tooling maintenance schedules, calibration procedures, and inspection requirements
- Perform root cause analysis on tooling-related quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with manufacturing and design engineers on new product introductions, design changes, and process improvements
