About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Mechanical Engineer to own the complete lifecycle of production tooling for advanced solid rocket motors, from concept design through factory implementation. You'll design jigs, fixtures, molds, and specialized equipment while driving manufacturing optimization and scalability for defense systems.
What you'll do
- Lead end-to-end design, prototyping, validation, and production release of manufacturing tooling for solid rocket motors
- Serve as design authority for jigs, fixtures, molds, assembly aids, and ground support equipment
- Apply FEA, DFM, DFA, and simulation to ensure tooling is robust, repeatable, and optimized for high-rate production
- Oversee prototyping, fabrication, assembly, and testing phases with iterative refinement
- Create comprehensive documentation, work instructions, maintenance procedures, and quality control plans
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams, quality engineers, and external vendors on requirements and continuous improvement
