Metrology Specialist/CMM Programmer, Maritime Division
About this role
Anduril's Maritime Division seeks a Metrology Specialist to develop and execute CMM inspection routines, analyze dimensional data, and support manufacturing excellence for advanced defense hardware. This role combines hands-on metrology work with data-driven engineering in an AS9100-certified environment, spanning R&D through full-rate production.
What you'll do
- Develop and program automated CMM inspection routines using PC-DMIS, Polyworks, or similar software
- Analyze inspection data to perform root cause analysis, support SPC initiatives, and conduct capability studies
- Collaborate with Design and Manufacturing Engineers on Design for Manufacturability/Inspectability feedback
- Create comprehensive inspection plans interpreting complex drawings and 3D CAD models to validate GD&T requirements
- Generate inspection reports and present findings to cross-functional teams to drive corrective actions
- Support metrology equipment calibration, maintain documentation, and contribute to technology selection
