About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Product Sourcing Engineer to drive strategic supply chain development and cost management for the Altius family of air-launched autonomous systems. You'll lead supplier selection, manage new product introduction (NPI) procurement, conduct cost engineering, and optimize manufacturing BOMs to accelerate production timelines for defense applications.
What you'll do
- Conduct supplier selection and partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development through concept scoping, trade studies, and joint design efforts
- Develop and consolidate manufacturing BOMs in collaboration with Quality and Manufacturing teams to enable production ramp-up
- Manage NPI component procurement, CAPEX budgets, and vendor qualifications to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery at scale
- Lead cost engineering activities including should-cost modeling, value-stream mapping, and total cost of ownership optimization across product lifecycles
- Complete BOM risk assessments, identify component alternates, and rationalize suppliers and components to reduce complexity
- Manage ad-hoc cost issues including tariffs, supply chain disruptions, and cost inflation impacts
