Product Sourcing Engineer
About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Product Sourcing Engineer to drive supply chain strategy and cost optimization for rocket motor systems and defense hardware. You'll partner with suppliers and internal teams through the full product lifecycle—from design through production ramp—managing supplier selection, BOM development, cost engineering, and supply network optimization.
What you'll do
- Conduct supplier selection and strategic partnership development for product hardware using approved supplier lists
- Partner on accelerated product development including concept scoping, design trade-offs, should-cost modeling, and joint design activities
- Develop and consolidate manufacturing BOMs with Quality and Manufacturing teams to support production ramp with flexibility
- Execute value-stream mapping and cost engineering to optimize lead times, reduce complexity, and manage total cost of ownership across product lifecycles
- Manage BOM risk assessments, component qualifications, supplier rationalization, and ad-hoc cost issues including tariffs and inflation
- Oversee CAPEX management and alternate component sourcing throughout new product introduction phases
