About this role
Anduril is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to own the health and uptime of fielded imaging systems for defense applications. You'll be the frontline responder for deployed system issues, diagnosing problems across the full stack (hardware, firmware, networking, services), and converting recurring fires into durable runbooks and self-service tooling.
What you'll do
- Triage, diagnose, and resolve issues in deployed imaging systems across all stack layers
- Serve as first and second line of response for customer escalations and support tickets
- Build and maintain runbooks, diagnostics, and automation to reduce repeat problems
- Reproduce and document software defects for handoff to engineering teams
- Travel approximately 15% of the time for field support and deployment activities
- Translate field learnings into product reliability improvements and observability enhancements

- Linux system administration and troubleshooting
- Networking fundamentals (IP, routing, VPNs, field connectivity)
- Diagnosing issues across system boundaries without full component visibility
- On-call rotation and incident response management
- Technical communication with both operators and engineers
- Bash or Python scripting for diagnostics and automation
- Sensor systems experience (EO/IR, optical, calibration)
- Incident management tools (PagerDuty or equivalent)
