Anduril Industries
Software Engineer, Battlespace Awareness
About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Software Engineer to develop advanced tracking algorithms and real-time software systems for air and missile defense radar. You'll design multi-target tracking solutions that process massive sensor data streams to detect and characterize airborne threats, collaborating with radar engineers to integrate these systems into production defense platforms.
What you'll do
- Design and implement advanced multi-target tracking and discrimination algorithms for air and missile defense applications
- Develop high-performance real-time software systems that process radar sensor data and maintain tracks on dozens to hundreds of simultaneous targets
- Build and leverage modeling and simulation environments to validate tracking performance and identify improvements
- Collaborate with radar engineers and system architects to integrate tracking solutions into end-to-end defense systems
- Optimize tracking software for performance-critical, millisecond-sensitive environments
- Communicate technical concepts and trade-offs to cross-functional teams, leadership, and customers
What they're looking for
- C++ and Python programming
- Linear algebra, probability, statistics, and differential equations
- Multi-target tracking algorithms and signal processing
- Real-time systems and performance optimization
- Software engineering fundamentals (design patterns, testing, version control, debugging)
- Sensor fusion and data processing
- Modeling and simulation
- Technical communication to non-technical stakeholders
