Systems Engineer, Space Emerging Talent
About this role
Anduril is seeking an early-career Systems Engineer to support the design, development, and testing of next-generation space systems and ground architectures. You'll translate mission objectives into engineering requirements, perform trade studies, and collaborate across hardware, software, and operations teams in a fast-paced agile environment.
What you'll do
- Break down mission needs into functional requirements, subsystem specifications, and Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
- Perform mission and system-level trade studies on mass, power, link budget, delta-V, and thermal margins
- Prepare technical data packages and presentation materials for program milestones (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR)
- Plan and execute functional checkouts and environmental testing (thermal vacuum, vibration, EMI/EMC) aligned with industry standards
- Collaborate with flight software, guidance/navigation/control, payload, and ground teams to resolve technical issues
- Maintain system budgets, risk registers, and verification matrices throughout the development lifecycle
