You'll balance shipping production features on x86/Arm platforms with hardening firmware against sophisticated threats, embedding security from the ground up.
What you'll do
- Design and ship OpenBMC firmware features using Yocto/OpenEmbedded for x86 and Arm platforms from bring-up through production
- Implement management stack using DMTF/OCP standards (MCTP, PLDM, SPDM, Redfish) and IPMI/KCS for sensors, telemetry, and logging
- Own BMC security posture including secure boot, attestation, authenticated updates, and rollback protection
- Lead threat modeling and secure design reviews; coordinate vulnerability disclosure with vendors and upstream
- Build verification tooling including static analysis, fuzzing, and firmware extraction with CI gating
- Manage hardware/firmware boundary work across I2C, SPI, PCIe, BMC-to-BIOS communications, and thermal/power management
