About this role
Join Anthropic's RL Engineering team to build and optimize the systems that train Claude and other advanced AI models using reinforcement learning techniques. You'll own critical algorithms and infrastructure that enable researchers to develop safer, more capable AI systems.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain algorithms and systems for RLHF and related model training methods
- Improve performance, reliability, and usability of training infrastructure
- Profile and optimize reinforcement learning pipelines for speed and efficiency
- Implement and stabilize new training algorithms proposed by researchers
- Diagnose and resolve training pipeline issues and bottlenecks
- Develop instrumentation and testing systems to detect problems early
