Software Engineer, Research Infrastructure

About this role

Anthropic seeks an experienced infrastructure engineer to design and scale systems supporting their research organization. You'll independently lead complex multi-month projects, make architectural decisions for research tooling, and partner with researchers to anticipate and evolve infrastructure as demands grow rapidly.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and scale infrastructure supporting rapidly increasing research workloads with evolving requirements
• Lead complex, multi-month engineering projects independently from ambiguous problem definition to production deployment
• Drive cross-organizational alignment on technical direction with multiple stakeholder teams
• Make foundational architectural decisions that shape research infrastructure across the company
• Partner with researchers to understand workflows and anticipate future needs
• Ensure reliability and scalability of critical systems as load and complexity increase
