Design Engineer
About this role
Antimetal seeks a Design Engineer to bridge design and development, transforming concepts into polished, production-ready interfaces for their infrastructure management platform. You'll own the design system, craft pixel-perfect UIs with modern frontend tech, and define new interaction patterns—all while working in-person in their NYC office.
What you'll do
- Maintain and scale the design system across Figma and React/Tailwind code
- Develop pixel-perfect, performant interfaces using React, Next.js, and CSS animations
- Collaborate with design and engineering to move ideas from sketches to production
- Establish interaction patterns for AI-driven tools and new infrastructure features
- Prototype rapidly using Figma, code, or AI tools to validate ideas quickly
- Improve frontend architecture, best practices, and performance standards across the platform
