About this role
AnySignal seeks a Power Electronics Engineer to design and test power circuitry for space communication systems. You'll lead DC-DC converter development from initial concept through vehicle integration, collaborating with software, RF, and FPGA teams in Los Angeles.
What you'll do
- Design, analyze, and test DC-DC power converters for space applications
- Conduct electrical power system and sub-system level design trades and requirement development
- Define and execute electrical power system verification testing and analysis
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create new power electronics hardware
- Own the full lifecycle of power circuitry from design to manufacturing to test

- DC-DC converter design and debugging
- Schematic capture and PCB layout (Altium Designer or equivalent)
- Power electronics modeling, simulation, and testing
- Control theory (voltage and current mode control, compensation design)
- DC-DC converter topologies (buck, boost, resonant, bridged configurations)
- Impedance and loop-gain measurement techniques
- Power tree design with sequencing requirements
- Failure mode effects and criticality analysis (FMEA)
