About this role
Apex seeks an Avionics Hardware Development Engineer to bridge design and production for spacecraft avionics systems. You'll own hardware reliability, troubleshoot build and integration issues, and drive manufacturing improvements to ensure scalable production of satellite bus technology.
What you'll do
- Lead first-response troubleshooting for avionics hardware build, test, and integration issues
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions across design, manufacturing, and supply chain
- Partner with internal and contract manufacturers to resolve production bottlenecks and improve yield
- Validate designs are manufacturable, testable, and scalable before release to production
- Drive engineering change orders and systemic improvements based on production and test feedback
- Bridge design, production, and test teams to ensure continuous process improvement
