About this role

Join Apex's avionics test team to design, build, and operate integrated spacecraft test environments for commercial satellite buses. This hands-on hardware test engineering role combines system-level validation, RF testing, and cross-functional project leadership in a fast-growing aerospace manufacturing company.

What you'll do

  • Build and maintain bus-level and component-level test racks, including configuration and troubleshooting
  • Lead hardware integration activities such as harnessing, fixturing, and mechanical/electrical interface validation
  • Execute functional checkouts, acceptance testing, environmental screening, and integrated system validation campaigns
  • Perform RF and avionics validation testing including antenna characterization, S-parameter measurements, and thermal vacuum operations
  • Own test setup documentation including diagrams, BOMs, DVPs, and procedures
  • Lead medium cross-functional or large function-specific test projects end-to-end with stakeholder communication
