Launch Engineer

About this role

Apex seeks a Launch Engineer to manage satellite payload integration with launch vehicles, coordinate with launch providers, and lead launch campaigns for commercial spacecraft platforms. You'll own complex projects end-to-end, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive processes that guarantee reliable launches.

What you'll do

• Manage satellite-to-launch vehicle integration and coordinate with launch providers on requirements and schedules
• Develop and maintain launch plans, procedures, and readiness reviews
• Oversee satellite transportation, handling, and pre-launch processing at launch sites
• Ensure mechanical, electrical, and environmental interface compatibility between satellite and launch vehicle
• Support environmental testing and conduct system-level checkouts during pre-launch and countdown operations
• Interface with regulatory agencies for launch approvals and maintain compliance with spaceflight standards
