About this role
Appian seeks a 2027 graduate to join its Information Security team in McLean, Virginia, building and scaling intrusion detection systems and cloud-based security defenses. You'll analyze security data, design detection technologies, and execute projects that strengthen the company's ability to protect critical assets from emerging threats.
What you'll do
- Build and scale internal security systems to monitor and defend against modern attack techniques
- Analyze complex security data from multiple sources including logging devices and endpoint monitors
- Design and implement enhanced detection technologies to surface anomalies and vulnerabilities
- Conduct risk analysis on infrastructure assets and recommend remediation strategies
- Execute security engineering projects improving intrusion detection and response capabilities
