About this role

Applied Intuition seeks a New Grad Electrical Systems Integration Engineer to design automotive harnesses and develop hardware-in-the-loop benches for vehicle electrical validation. You'll work on firmware bringup, CAD design, and test automation alongside senior engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready electrical systems.

What you'll do

  • Design wire harness routing, retention, and connectors for assembly, serviceability, and robust vehicle operation
  • Build and maintain hardware-in-the-loop test benches for electrical system validation and integration
  • Perform firmware bringup on ECUs and vehicle hardware, including flashing, debugging, and protocol validation (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)
  • Develop BOMs, wire specifications, and material documentation for vehicle interconnects
  • Create 3D CAD models, assemblies, and 2D drawings using SolidWorks and Altium for low and high-voltage systems
  • Write automation scripts and tooling for bench test execution and data collection

What they're looking for

  • Electrical hardware design and embedded systems
  • Hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) bench development and validation
  • Vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN, SPI, I2C, UART, Automotive Ethernet)
  • Embedded C/C++ and Python scripting
  • CAD tools: SolidWorks and Altium
  • Lab equipment operation: oscilloscope, logic analyzer, multimeter, soldering, crimping
  • Automotive standards and wire harness design (IPC/WHMA-A-620, ISO 6722, SAE J1128)
