About this role
Applied Intuition seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design and validate hardware for autonomous vehicles, including sensor suites, compute assemblies, and vehicle interiors. You'll perform structural and thermal analysis, manage component-to-vehicle-level integration, and collaborate across teams to ensure designs meet manufacturability and scalability standards.
What you'll do
- Design and develop mechanical components for autonomous vehicle sensor suites, compute assemblies, and interiors
- Perform structural and thermal FEA/CAE analysis on mechanical designs
- Own design validation and verification from component through fully integrated vehicle level
- Conduct incoming quality inspections including visual inspection, pressure testing, and firmware flashing
- Design and prototype custom cable harnesses and test fixtures
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align mechanical designs with requirements from other teams
