About this role
Applied Intuition seeks a Robotic Software Engineer to design, integrate, and deploy autonomy systems for defense and commercial UAVs. You'll work across hardware and software domains, managing full-stack integration from embedded platforms to flight testing, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and defense customers.
What you'll do
- Integrate and deploy autonomy software onto embedded Linux platforms with sensor interfacing and data collection
- Support live flight testing of autonomy on Group 1-5 unmanned aerial vehicles
- Design modular autonomy capabilities and troubleshoot complex integration issues
- Conduct system-level testing including software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop evaluations
- Collaborate with autonomy engineers on service-oriented architecture and inter-process messaging systems
- Partner with third-party UAS vendors and DoD experts on hardware integration
