About this role

Join Apptronik's Real-Time Controls team as an intern to develop and test C++ software that powers Apollo, a humanoid robot designed for manufacturing, logistics, and beyond. You'll work on motion control systems, sensor integration, and mathematical models that translate high-level commands into physical robot actions while supporting a collaborative, mission-driven team.

What you'll do

  • Develop and test real-time C++ software modules for robot motion control
  • Integrate sensor data and firmware feedback into core control loops
  • Implement and validate mathematical models for robot positioning and movement
  • Create software interfaces that convert behavioral goals into executable robot tasks
  • Collect and analyze performance data from hardware and simulations
  • Write unit tests and documentation to maintain system stability

What they're looking for

  • C++ programming (Modern C++, OOP, memory management)
  • Python for scripting, data analysis, and testing
  • Newtonian physics and linear algebra
  • Robotics fundamentals (actuators, encoders, IMUs)
  • Git version control
  • Linux environment proficiency
