About this role
Join Apptronik's Real-Time Controls team as an intern to develop and test C++ software that powers Apollo, a humanoid robot designed for manufacturing, logistics, and beyond. You'll work on motion control systems, sensor integration, and mathematical models that translate high-level commands into physical robot actions while supporting a collaborative, mission-driven team.
What you'll do
- Develop and test real-time C++ software modules for robot motion control
- Integrate sensor data and firmware feedback into core control loops
- Implement and validate mathematical models for robot positioning and movement
- Create software interfaces that convert behavioral goals into executable robot tasks
- Collect and analyze performance data from hardware and simulations
- Write unit tests and documentation to maintain system stability
What they're looking for
- C++ programming (Modern C++, OOP, memory management)
- Python for scripting, data analysis, and testing
- Newtonian physics and linear algebra
- Robotics fundamentals (actuators, encoders, IMUs)
- Git version control
- Linux environment proficiency
- Strong communication and teamwork
- Problem-solving in multidisciplinary settings
