About this role
Archer seeks an experienced Battery Cell Stack Engineer to lead the design and development of high-voltage battery pack systems for electric aircraft programs. This role combines hands-on prototyping with strategic system integration, requiring deep expertise in mechanical design, aerospace standards, and FAA certification requirements.
What you'll do
- Lead end-to-end design of high-voltage battery pack components for commercial and defense aircraft
- Collaborate with CAE, quality, testing, supply chain, and manufacturing teams throughout development
- Conduct hands-on prototyping, building, and root cause analysis during design cycles
- Work with integration and certification teams to meet FAA requirements
- Establish design standards and best practices for battery systems at Archer
- Mentor junior battery design engineers and develop technology roadmaps
