Data Center Structural Engineer
About this role
Armada seeks a Data Center Structural Engineer to lead structural design and certification for modular data center deployments across global sites with varying seismic, wind, snow, and soil conditions. You'll own the structural thread from site assessment through design, vendor coordination, standardized design templates, and installation oversight, ensuring compliance across all jurisdictions.
What you'll do
- Identify, vet, and coordinate with domestic and international structural engineering vendors and certifying engineers for compliance with local building codes
- Conduct early-stage structural due diligence on new sites, assessing seismic, wind, snow, and soil risks to flag redesign concerns before deployment
- Develop and maintain standardized, repeatable structural designs for MDC components to scale across varying site conditions
- Perform structural analysis and design for new products and first-of-a-kind site conditions before handoff to local certifying engineers
- Review shop drawings and equipment integration details with fabricators and contractors to ensure built installations match certified designs
- Serve as primary structural liaison between Armada product engineering, external vendors, contractors, and local engineers globally
