About this role
AssetWatch is hiring a Backend Engineer to join the Data Services team, which owns critical backend infrastructure and data pipelines for condition monitoring and predictive maintenance solutions. You'll design and optimize serverless architectures, build robust APIs, manage databases, and collaborate across teams to ensure reliable data flow at scale.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable microservices, integrations, and background jobs
- Develop and optimize serverless architectures using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and related services
- Collaborate with other backend engineers to enforce consistent, scalable architecture patterns
- Manage and optimize critical data infrastructure and pipelines
- Improve data ingestion and alerting systems for performance and reliability
- Ensure efficient database operations supporting condition monitoring solutions
