About this role
AvePoint seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer (AI) to embed with enterprise customers and serve as the technical face of the company's AI governance and data protection platform. You'll balance C-suite advisory conversations about AI trust and security with hands-on engineering—designing governance frameworks, scoping AI projects, and building working prototypes to solve real business problems.
What you'll do
- Lead AI governance discovery workshops and advise CISOs/executives on trust, security, and resilience strategies
- Help customers inventory and govern their AI landscape including agents, copilots, models, and shadow AI deployments
- Scope and translate business challenges into deliverable AI projects with defined success criteria
- Build initial prototypes and proof-of-concepts to validate proposed solutions
- Establish AI governance frameworks including approval workflows, risk classifications, and audit evidence systems
- Own customer engagements end-to-end from discovery through production delivery
