About this role
Axon seeks an Electronics Sourcing Engineer II to build and optimize a world-class electronics supplier network for safety and justice technology products. You'll manage supplier relationships, execute new product introductions, drive cost reductions, and mitigate supply chain risks across the product development lifecycle.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with design and product teams during NPI to understand component needs and influence sourcing decisions
- Develop and execute RFX processes with electronics suppliers to establish component pricing and lead supplier selection
- Build relationships with manufacturers to understand roadmaps and support future product availability
- Lead cost reduction initiatives and manage quarterly material spend reporting
- Identify supply chain risks and qualify alternative sources for critical components on bills of materials
- Support contract negotiations and supplier performance reviews with key suppliers
